Chandigarh education department told to clear teachers salary arrears

The UT bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) directed the Chandigarh education department to unleash the arrears of enhanced consolidated salary of contractual academics of assorted government colleges of town.

These arrears are pending since 2007 and therefore the tribunal has currently set a deadline of 2 months for the funds to be released to the beneficiary academics, operating below numerous capacities in UT government colleges.
